This Policy applies to information handled by the Extension, including information that:

• is stored locally in your browser;
• is read from supported Amazon pages;
• is received from or sent to SellerSonar systems;
• is created when the Extension runs, checks authorization, provides its features, or reports an error.

The Extension is designed to work only on supported retail Amazon marketplaces and SellerSonar services. It does not use a general <all_urls> permission and reads only the supported Amazon pages needed for its features.

We use the information described above to:

• show SellerSonar listing analytics, Buy Box data, graphs, badges, and alerts;
• authenticate your SellerSonar account and provide account features;
• check whether its features can run in the current Amazon marketplace;
• provide review-monitoring and analytics for products associated with your account;
• coordinate tasks across tabs, marketplaces, browser restarts, and Extension installations;
• prevent duplicate work and duplicate processing;
• restore unfinished tasks;
• send alerts selected by the user;
• maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Extension and SellerSonar services;
• understand feature performance and usage;
• comply with law and enforce our terms.

We do not use Extension data for personalized advertising, credit decisions, or the sale of personal data.

5. Legal bases for processing

For users in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:

• Performance of a contract: to authenticate your account and provide the Extension, listing monitoring, alerts, Buy Box analytics, and review-monitoring services you request.
• Legitimate interests: to operate the service, coordinate tasks, maintain security, prevent duplicate or abusive activity, diagnose errors, and improve reliability, including processing limited publicly available review information where our interests are balanced against the rights of the individuals concerned. Our interests are to provide a stable and secure product while limiting data to what the feature needs.
• Consent: for optional analytics or other processing where consent is required by law. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing that took place before withdrawal.
• Legal obligation: when processing is needed to comply with applicable law, a valid legal request, or regulatory duties.

We do not use solely automated processing to make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

6. How we store and protect information

• Local Extension data is kept in Chrome local storage or Chrome session storage for the current browser profile.
• Raw Amazon page content is not stored in Extension storage.
• Data sent to SellerSonar is transmitted over HTTPS using modern transport encryption.
• SellerSonar states that traffic to app.sellersonar.com uses TLS 1.3 and that server files are protected with AES-256 encryption at rest.
• Access to operational data is limited to authorized personnel who need it for their work.
• We use security testing, dependency scanning, access controls, and other technical and organizational measures to protect information.

No security method is perfect. We cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, loss, or misuse will never occur.

7. Retention

We keep information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide the service, maintain security, resolve disputes, and meet legal duties.

Retention is based on the following criteria:

• authentication tokens are removed from local Extension storage when you log out or uninstall the Extension;
• temporary session and display state is kept only for the active browser session or until Chrome removes it;
• active tasks and related task state are kept locally until the task is completed, the data is cleared, or the Extension is uninstalled; an unfinished task may remain after logout;
• raw page content remains in Extension memory only long enough to validate;
• data uploaded to SellerSonar is kept while needed to provide the service, maintain product history, and meet the SellerSonar account and legal retention rules;
• operational and security logs are kept only as long as needed to investigate errors, protect the service, meet legal duties, and resolve disputes;
• account and server-side data is kept in line with the SellerSonar account-retention process.

Logging out or uninstalling the Extension does not automatically delete information that was already sent to SellerSonar servers. You may request deletion as described in Section 11.

8. Sharing and service providers

We do not sell or rent personal data.

We may share information with service providers that act on our instructions and help us operate the Extension and SellerSonar, including:

• AWS (EU-West): hosting, storage, processing, and infrastructure;
• SendGrid: delivery of email alerts selected by the user;
• OneSignal: delivery of push notifications selected by the user;
• security, monitoring, and technical support providers where needed to operate and protect the service.

We may also disclose information:

• when required by law, legal process, or a valid government request;
• to protect the rights, security, and integrity of SellerSonar, our users, or others;
• in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to applicable law and required notice or consent.

Service providers are required to protect the information, use it only for agreed purposes, and comply with applicable data-protection terms.

Human access to data processed through the Extension is limited. Authorized personnel may access specific data only when the user gives clear consent for support, when access is needed for security or abuse investigation, when required by law, or when data has been aggregated and de-identified for permitted internal operations.

9. International transfers

SellerSonar states that its main service data is stored in the European Union. SellerSonar is based in the United States and may use providers or personnel located outside your country.

When personal data is transferred outside the EEA, United Kingdom, or another region with transfer restrictions, we use a lawful transfer method where required. This may include an adequacy decision, the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or Agreement, and suitable technical and organizational safeguards.

10. Chrome Web Store User Data Policy

The Extension collects, uses, and transfers user data only when it is strictly necessary to provide or improve its disclosed single purpose and related operational features, such as maintaining, securing, and measuring the performance and reliability of those features.

We do not use or transfer Extension user data:

• for personalized, retargeted, or interest-based advertising;
• for sale to data brokers or information resellers;
• to determine creditworthiness or for lending;
• for a purpose unrelated to the Extension’s disclosed features.

We limit transfers and human access as described in this Policy. Our collection, use, and transfer of all user data obtained through the Extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

11. Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• request access to personal data we hold about you;
• correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
• request deletion of personal data;
• request restriction of processing;
• receive certain data in a portable format;
• object to processing based on legitimate interests;
• withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
• complain to a data-protection authority.

To make a request, email [email protected]. We may need to confirm your identity before completing the request. Some rights are subject to legal limits, and we may keep information where required by law or needed to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

EEA users may complain to the data-protection authority in the country where they live or work, or where they believe a violation took place. UK users may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. You may also have rights under state or national privacy laws outside the EEA and UK.

You have the right to object at any time to processing based on our legitimate interests. We will stop that processing unless we have a strong legal reason to continue or the processing is needed for legal claims.

12. Children

The Extension is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal data through the Extension, contact us so we can review and delete it where required.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy when the Extension, our data practices, or legal requirements change. We will update the “Last updated” date at the top of the Policy.

When a change materially affects how the Extension handles user data, we will provide notice before the new practice starts. Depending on the change, notice may appear in the Extension, on the Chrome Web Store listing, in the SellerSonar application, or by another suitable method. Where required, we will ask for consent.
