Why This Alert Exists
Variation Changed is a variation alert used when SellerSonar detects a change in Amazon variation relationships but does not yet know the seller’s official structure. This usually happens when the seller has not uploaded the Catalog Management file, so SellerSonar cannot decide whether the change is correct, broken, or successfully linked. In this case, SellerSonar reports the change and lets the user review the status manually.
When You’ll See It
- No Catalog Management file uploaded yet.
- New products added to monitoring before a source of truth exists.
- Ambiguous changes that cannot be classified automatically.
Related Alerts
Once a source of truth exists, alerts become more specific — either Variation Broken or Variation Linked.
How SellerSonar Helps
Variation Changed is delivered through Product Listing Alerts. Uploading the seller’s structure through Catalog Management upgrades these neutral alerts into precise Broken or Linked events.
