Verdict: Jungle Scout Cobalt is Jungle Scout’s enterprise Amazon intelligence platform, and it has no public price: according to Jungle Scout’s pricing page, you request a demo, go through a qualification process and get a custom plan that is charged per user. It is built for brands, agencies and vendors selling more than $1M a year, and it is strong on category data, share of voice, ads and Vendor Central reporting.

Best for: established brands and agencies that need market share, ads and retail analytics in one contract. Look elsewhere if: you mainly need an alert the moment a seller joins your listing or takes the Buy Box, or you want a price you can see before you talk to sales.

This review covers what Jungle Scout Cobalt is, how it is sold, how it compares with Catalyst and Helium 10, and where it stops. Every Cobalt fact comes from Jungle Scout’s own pages and help centers, read on November 4, 2026, and the product screenshots are Jungle Scout’s own.

Disclosure: SellerSonar publishes this review and competes with Jungle Scout in Amazon listing and Buy Box monitoring, so we say where Cobalt is the better choice and link every fact to Jungle Scout’s own pages.

What is Jungle Scout Cobalt?

Jungle Scout sells two platforms: Catalyst, the self-serve toolkit for researching and launching products, and Cobalt, the enterprise platform for teams that need to see a whole category.

The Cobalt product page groups the platform into three jobs: Benchmarking (Category Performance, Executive Dashboard, Shelf Intelligence), Innovation and Pricing (Pricing Analysis, Market Segments, Keyword Research, Custom Dashboards) and Marketing and Compliance (Seller-Level Detail, Competitor Insights, Product Details, Pricing Data). There is also a Jungle Scout Cobalt mobile app.

According to Jungle Scout’s help article What is Jungle Scout?, Cobalt comes in three delivery options: the Cobalt web platform, an API and Data Cloud feed for your own BI tools, and a browser extension that “can be added to Cobalt plans”. Jungle Scout MCP, which answers questions in Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or Copilot, runs on Cobalt’s data.

Jungle Scout Cobalt pricing: how it is sold

Cobalt has no price on any Jungle Scout page. The Jungle Scout pricing page lists it as “Custom Plans” for “Companies selling more than $1M on Amazon”, says Cobalt “charges per user”, and warns: “we are unable to handle demo requests from everyone who requests a Cobalt demo. There is a qualification process to ensure Cobalt is the right fit for your brand.”

Here is how Cobalt sits next to the self-serve Catalyst plans, per that pricing page:

Plan Billed monthly Billed yearly (per month) Who it is for How you buy
Catalyst Starter $49 $29 Sellers under $1M a year Online checkout
Catalyst Growth Accelerator $79 $49 Sellers under $1M a year Online checkout
Catalyst Brand Owner + CI $149 $129 Sellers under $1M a year Online checkout
Cobalt – Custom quote, charged per user Companies over $1M on Amazon Demo, then qualification
Jungle Scout MCP – Custom Teams working in AI tools Through a Cobalt demo or your CSM

The demo form itself shows how the qualification works. The Cobalt demo page asks for a work email, your annual company revenue (Under $1M, $1M to $50M, or $50M+), your organization type and what you want to solve.

Jungle Scout Cobalt demo request form asking for work email, annual company revenue and organization type
The Cobalt demo form on November 4, 2026: no checkout, no price.

After the form, Jungle Scout’s help center says the demo team will “Provide a tailored recommendation and pricing based on your requirements”, covering platform access, API, Data Cloud or a mix.

Some limits are written into the contract, not into a plan card. Per Cobalt’s help center, tracked keywords “count toward your contractual limit”, and Mexico data in Market Analysis “requires it to be included in your contract”. The same release notes say an organization with past-due invoices gets a “suspended account” message, with most of the platform locked.

What about the numbers quoted online? According to Google’s AI Overview and SmartScout’s comparison page, Cobalt costs around $2,500 a month; according to Scale Insights, $500 to $700. None of these figures appear on any Jungle Scout page, and they are three to five times apart, so treat them as guesses and ask for a quote.

💡 Expert Tip: Before the demo, write down how many users, ASINs, keywords and marketplaces you need. Cobalt is priced per user and its keyword tracking counts against a contract limit, so those four numbers drive the quote.

What changed in Cobalt in 2026

These dates come from the Cobalt release notes and archived copies of the product page:

  • Walmart is gone. “As of February 28, 2026, Cobalt no longer supports Walmart.” Cobalt is Amazon only now.
  • Buy Box history got longer. In January 2026 the Buy Box Performance tab gained date ranges up to 365 days.
  • Seller Compliance launched on April 7, 2026. It is a catalog-wide view of authorized and unauthorized sellers, MAP violations and lost revenue, with Sigil enforcement added in June.
  • Market Analysis replaced the old segments. It launched as a beta on April 7, 2026 and reached general availability in July, with a Keywords tab.
  • The positioning changed. An archived copy from March 13, 2026 sold four modules: Market Intelligence, Retail Insight, Ad Accelerator and Digital Shelf Analytics. By May 21, 2026 the page had moved to the three jobs listed above.

Jungle Scout Cobalt features: what it does well

Market and category intelligence

This is Cobalt’s core. According to its Market Analysis guide, you build a segment with filters, it has “no limit on the number of products”, and it carries a two-year rolling history. Each segment covers one marketplace: US, DE, UK or MX.

It answers the question Catalyst can’t: did sales fall because the category shrank, or because a competitor took share?

Share of Voice and keyword intelligence

Shelf Intelligence tracks how much of the search page each brand owns. Per Cobalt’s Shelf Intelligence guide, tracked keyword data “is collected 12 times per day” and Share of Voice covers 18 marketplaces, from the US and Brazil to Japan, India and Saudi Arabia.

It reflects “page 1 of Amazon search results” only.

Ads and PPC management

Ads management is Cobalt only. On the pricing page’s product comparison, PPC management, bid optimization, dayparting, rules automation, DSP management and keyword harvesting are all marked for Cobalt and not for Catalyst.

Catalyst (left) vs Cobalt (right) on Jungle Scout’s pricing page, November 4, 2026.

Cobalt also reads Sponsored Brand Video and DSP data, which Catalyst’s ads analytics do not.

Retail analytics and Vendor Central

Cobalt connects Seller Central and Vendor Central; Catalyst can’t connect Vendor Central. Jungle Scout’s platform guide adds custom dashboards, child accounts per brand and client access for agencies.

The Executive Overview combines your integrated sales with category data. Note its lag: Category Performance data “lags three weeks back from the most recent Sunday”.

Buy Box and seller compliance

This is the part Jungle Scout markets on its Win the Buy Box page. In the app, the Product Catalog shows every competing offer on your listing, who won the Buy Box and at what price.

Cobalt’s Buy Box Performance tab, from Jungle Scout’s help center (example data from October 2025).

Seller Compliance rolls that up across the catalog, estimates Potential Lost Revenue from your own traffic and conversion data, and lets you mark sellers as authorized or unauthorized.

For a brand with a reseller program, that split shows which sellers to chase first.

Cobalt limits and data timing

Cobalt’s limits are spread across its help center. These are the ones that matter for monitoring, each from Jungle Scout’s own articles:

Area What Jungle Scout says
Marketplaces 19 Amazon marketplaces (pricing page); Market Analysis in US, DE, UK, MX
ASIN tracking “Tracking up to 20,000 ASINs” (pricing page FAQ)
Seller Compliance data lag About 48 hours with Seller Central, 72 hours with Vendor Central
Seller Compliance scope Your own catalog only; needs a Seller Central or Vendor Central integration
Agencies Seller Compliance “is not automatically available for agency accounts”
Market Analysis refresh Weekly, every Sunday
Category Performance Three-week lag
Tracked keywords Collected 12 times a day; count toward your contract limit
Alert email “Only one person can be notified via email” per alert

The scope line matters most: the Seller Compliance guide answers “Can I see a seller’s activity across brands I don’t own?” with “Not yet.”

Jungle Scout Cobalt vs Catalyst

The short answer from Jungle Scout’s own guide: Catalyst helps you find and launch products, Cobalt explains why your market position changed. They are separate platforms, and Catalyst data such as tracked keywords and saved product lists does not transfer when you upgrade.

Feature Catalyst Cobalt
Price $29 to $149 a month, public Custom, per user
Buy Box and competing offers No (“Manual checking”) Yes, automated win-rate tracking
PPC management No (ads analytics only) Yes, incl. DSP
Vendor Central No Yes
Share of Voice No Yes
Listing Builder, Review Automation Yes No
Marketplaces 8 19
Free trial No; 7-day money-back guarantee No; demo only

For the Catalyst plans in detail, see our Jungle Scout pricing guide.

Jungle Scout Cobalt vs Helium 10

The fair comparison is Cobalt against Helium 10 Enterprise, since Helium 10’s self-serve plans are a different tier. According to the Helium 10 pricing page, Enterprise starts at $1,499 a month billed annually, with 10+ users, 15+ seller accounts and up to 5,000 ASINs.

Helium 10 publishes a starting price; Cobalt does not. Cobalt’s strengths are category data, share of voice and Vendor Central support, while Helium 10 keeps a wider seller toolkit around product research, listings and its own ads tool. For the self-serve plans, read our Helium 10 vs Jungle Scout comparison.

Is there a Jungle Scout Cobalt free trial or demo?

There is no free trial. The only way in is the demo, and not every request gets one. The 7-day money-back guarantee on the pricing page applies to “our standard plans for Jungle Scout Catalyst”, not to Cobalt.

Where Jungle Scout Cobalt falls short

Cobalt has an alerts feature, and it is built for threshold rules on ads, Vendor Central and tracked keywords. You pick a data source, a metric and a period; according to Jungle Scout’s help center, an example alert fires when ACoS is above 80% over 10 days.

Jungle Scout Cobalt Create a new alert screen: Amazon Advertising campaign, ACoS above 80% over 10 days
Creating an alert in Cobalt, from Jungle Scout’s help center.

The gap is in what it can’t watch. Cobalt’s Alerts article says it plainly: “Cobalt cannot alert on price changes (outside of Vendor Central), buy box presence, market share change, keyword search volume change, or inventory levels (for Seller Central users).”

The other weak spots:

  • No public price. You can’t compare Cobalt’s cost to anything until sales gives you a quote.
  • Seller data arrives in days. Per the Seller Compliance guide, its data runs about 48 to 72 hours behind, which suits enforcement reports, not same-day reaction.
  • Your catalog only. Buy Box and seller views need your Seller Central or Vendor Central integration and cover your own ASINs.
  • No listing tools. Listing Builder, Listing Analyzer and Review Automation are Catalyst only.

Is Jungle Scout Cobalt worth it?

Your situation Our take
Brand over $1M with a category team Worth a demo. Market share, share of voice and ads in one contract is Cobalt’s strength.
Amazon vendor (1P) Strong fit. Vendor Central support and Buy Box data that Vendor Central itself lacks.
Agency with several brands Good fit for reporting; ask about Seller Compliance, which agencies don’t get by default.
Seller under $1M Not built for you. Catalyst plus a monitoring tool costs far less.
Brand fighting hijackers today Cobalt quantifies the loss, but it can’t alert on Buy Box presence. Add a monitoring tool.
Reseller or wholesaler Poor fit. Cobalt is built for brands, and cross-brand seller views are “not yet” available.

🎯 Pro Insight: Cobalt and a monitoring tool answer different questions. Cobalt tells you how much revenue unauthorized sellers cost you last quarter; a monitoring tool tells you which seller took the Buy Box on your best ASIN this morning.

Jungle Scout Cobalt pros and cons

All of these points come from Jungle Scout’s own pricing page and help centers.

Pros: category and market share data with no ASIN limit in segments; share of voice across 18 marketplaces; PPC and DSP management; Vendor Central support; authorized/unauthorized seller classification with lost-revenue estimates; MCP and AI chat on the same data.

Cons: no public price and a qualification step; no free trial; alerts can’t fire on Buy Box presence or most price changes; seller data 48 to 72 hours behind; Buy Box views limited to your own catalog; no listing or review tools.

When a monitoring tool makes more sense

If what you need from Cobalt is “tell me when something happens to my listing”, a monitoring tool does that job without an enterprise contract. According to SellerSonar’s product documentation, it watches any ASIN on 23 Amazon marketplaces, yours or a competitor’s, with no Seller Central connection, and sends an alert when it sees a change on its next check.

Its Buy Box and pricing alerts cover Seller appeared, Seller removed, Seller’s price changed, and Buy Box Won and Lost, which shows who took the Buy Box and at what price.

SellerSonar Seller appeared alerts on a Sterilite cabinet: a new FBM seller at $212.94 on October 27, 2026
Seller appeared alerts in SellerSonar, October 27, 2026.

The Buy Box Tracker shows each seller’s share of the Buy Box day by day, on listings you don’t own too.

SellerSonar’s Buy Box Tracker on a Honeywell thermostat, October 14 to 23, 2026: Amazon’s offer loses the Buy Box to resellers.

It also covers the listing itself. Content change alerts show the old and new title, bullets, description or images, and retail issue alerts flag suppressed listings, a suppressed Buy Box and out-of-stock listings.

SellerSonar Content Changes alert, Oct 30 2026: Levoit B09GTRVJQM title before/after, Restricted Keywords 100 to 0
A title change alert in SellerSonar, October 30, 2026, with the restricted keyword it introduced.

Prices are on the page. According to SellerSonar’s plans page, Premium costs $39.98 a month billed yearly with 300 ASINs, checks every 2 hours and Buy Box Won/Lost alerts; Business costs $74.98 with 500 ASINs and hourly checks. The trial is free for 14 days with 5 ASINs.

SellerSonar has no category sizing, sales estimates, PPC management or Vendor Central sales reporting, so it does not replace Cobalt for a brand team that needs those.

📌 From Our Experience: In SellerSonar, all five Buy Box and pricing alerts are off by default on a new account. If hijackers are the reason you’re looking at Cobalt, turn them on in Alerts, Delivery Settings on day one.

Final Expert Recommendations:
Book a Cobalt demo if you run a brand or vendor business above Jungle Scout’s own $1M threshold and need market share, share of voice, ads and Vendor Central in one place, and come with your user, keyword and marketplace counts. If your real problem is sellers on your listings, a lost Buy Box or edited content, start with a monitoring tool at a published price, and add Cobalt later if you need the category view.
