Verdict: The best Jungle Scout alternative depends on the job you bought it for: Helium 10 for deeper research, SmartScout or SellerSprite for cheaper research, sellerboard for profit, Keepa for price history and SellerSonar for listing alerts. The critical caveat: Jungle Scout sunset its Alerts feature, so no Catalyst plan replaces a monitoring tool.

Best for: sellers who use one or two Jungle Scout tools and pay for the whole suite. Look elsewhere if: you use Product Database, Keyword Scout and the extension every week and are happy with them.

This guide compares eight Jungle Scout alternatives by the job each one does best, with prices read on every vendor’s own pricing page on November 4, 2026. It is written for private label sellers, resellers and brand owners deciding whether to switch, downgrade or add a second tool.

Disclosure: SellerSonar publishes this comparison and competes with Jungle Scout in Amazon listing monitoring, so we say where each tool is the better choice and link every price to the vendor’s own page.

Why sellers look for a Jungle Scout alternative

Jungle Scout is still a capable research suite. Most people who search for an alternative are reacting to one of these limits, all taken from Jungle Scout’s own pages.

  • No free trial. Jungle Scout’s help center says “we do not offer a free trial” and offers a 7-day money-back guarantee instead, and refunds “are not initiated automatically”.
  • Alerts are gone. Jungle Scout’s help article says “we have decided to sunset our Alerts feature”, so no Catalyst plan warns you about a new seller or a listing edit.
  • Buy Box and PPC management sit in Cobalt. On the Jungle Scout pricing page, “Buy box & competitive offers” and “PPC management” are marked for Cobalt only, which is aimed at businesses with $1M+ in annual revenue and sold through a demo.
  • Tight plan limits. According to the Catalyst plans page, Starter includes 50 Keyword Scout searches a month and no Rank Tracker, and Brand Owner now includes 3 seats, down from 10 on archived copies of the same page from February and March 2026.

On price, Jungle Scout’s Catalyst plans cost $29, $49 and $129 a month billed yearly, or $49, $79 and $149 month to month, according to the same Catalyst plans page.

The article sits next to the Product Tracker guides, which is where many sellers expected alerts to live. Monitoring of Buy Box win rates is now described as a Cobalt capability in Jungle Scout’s platform guide.

The 8 best Jungle Scout alternatives in 2026

1. Helium 10: the closest like-for-like suite

Helium 10 covers the same ground as Jungle Scout, from product research (Black Box) to reverse ASIN keyword research (Cerebro), listing tools and a Chrome extension. It is the swap to make if you want more research depth, not less spend.

According to the Helium 10 pricing page, Platinum costs $99 a month billed yearly or $129 month to month, and Diamond costs $279 or $359.

Does well: keyword depth, a free plan to test the tools, and more marketplaces: Helium 10 advertises “24+ Marketplaces Supported” on the same page. Falls short: per the same page, Platinum caps Cerebro at 100 searches a month, has no rank tracking over time and covers Alerts for 5 products. Helium 10’s help center says Alerts need a connected Seller Central token. Our Helium 10 pricing review has the full plan breakdown.

2. SmartScout: research by brand, seller and category

SmartScout looks at Amazon from the top down: which brands and sellers own a category, how revenue is split and who holds the Buy Box. It suits brand owners, agencies and wholesalers who research markets rather than single products.

The SmartScout pricing page lists Basic at $29, Essentials at $99 and Business at $239 a month on the Yearly tab, or $49, $119 and $299 on Monthly. Each paid plan says “Full access, 7-day Money-Back Guarantee”; there is no free trial on the page.

SmartScout pricing cards on the Yearly tab: Basic $29, Essentials $99, Business $239 a month and Enterprise custom

Does well: seller and brand data that Jungle Scout’s Catalyst plans don’t sell. SmartScout says its Business plan unlocks “all 2,000,000+ sellers, including buy box history”. Falls short: according to the same page, unlimited keyword tracking starts on Essentials and “Custom Dashboards + Alerts” are an Enterprise item.

3. SellerSprite: the cheaper research suite

SellerSprite is the budget research suite from the related searches for this topic: product research, reverse ASIN, keyword mining and a Chrome extension. It is the cheaper alternative to Jungle Scout for sellers who mostly research.

The SellerSprite pricing page shows Basic at $39 a month (list price $49), Standard at $79, Advanced at $129 and VIP at $189, billed monthly. Billed yearly, Basic is $390 a year, about $32.50 a month by our math. A banner offers a “FREE 3-Day trial of Monthly Plan”.

Does well: research tools marked “Unlimited” on every plan, and a free Chrome extension that SellerSprite says “150000+ people use”. Falls short: the monthly Basic plan shows Product Tracker 0 and Keyword Tracker 0 on SellerSprite’s own cards, so tracking starts at $79.

4. SellerApp: research plus ad automation

SellerApp combines product intelligence and keyword tracking with Amazon PPC tools, which Jungle Scout keeps for Cobalt. It fits sellers who want a free starting point and plan to automate ads later.

According to the SellerApp pricing page, Freemium is $0 with “No Credit Card required”, Pro “starts with $99 per month”, and the Smart plan is $149 a month instead of $250, with the note “Discounted pricing is for first 3 months”. Its FAQ says the annual plan saves 50%.

SellerApp pricing: Freemium $0, Pro Plan from $99 a month, Smart Plan $149 instead of $250 for the first 3 months

Does well: a free plan with no time limit and ads automation on the Smart plan. Falls short: listing quality and PPC insights are crossed out on Freemium, and the Smart price rises after three months. SellerApp lists Business Alerts among its tools, but the pricing cards don’t say which plan includes them.

5. sellerboard: profit analytics instead of research

Some sellers only open Jungle Scout for sales and profit numbers. sellerboard is built for that job: profit dashboards from your own seller account, PPC optimization, inventory, refunds for lost inventory and a repricer.

The sellerboard pricing table lists Standard at $19 a month billed monthly or $15 billed annually ($179 a year), with a “1 month free trial” and “No credit card required”. The plans are sized by orders per month and connected seller accounts.

sellerboard pricing table billed annually: Standard $15, Professional $23, Business $31, Enterprise $63 a month, listing change alerts on all

Does well: the lowest entry price in this list, and listing change alerts on every plan, which sellerboard says cover “new sellers and loss of Buy Box”. Falls short: no product or keyword research, so it replaces Jungle Scout’s analytics, not its research tools. Our SellerSonar vs sellerboard comparison covers the alert overlap.

6. Keepa: price and sales rank history

Keepa is the reference for Amazon price, offer and sales rank history. Resellers use it before they buy stock, and many Jungle Scout users already run it next to their suite.

Keepa’s charts are free, and Keepa’s support page says you can use it “without registration”. Keepa Pro costs €29 a month or €290 a year on the Keepa data page, about $32 a month at the ECB reference rate for November 3, 2026.

Keepa Pro panel: Monthly 29 euros, Yearly 290 euros, with Product Finder, Buy Box and stock and Track 10,000 products

Does well: history depth, Buy Box and stock data on Pro and tracking for 10,000 products. Falls short: Keepa’s support page says it offers no free trials or discounts and bills only in euros, and its alerts center on price and stock, not on who joined your listing.

7. SellerAmp SAS: sourcing for resellers

SellerAmp SAS answers the buy-or-skip question for online and retail arbitrage: profit, ROI, eligibility, IP warnings and Buy Box history for a product you might stock. It replaces Jungle Scout for resellers who never launch their own brand.

The SellerAmp pricing page lists Getting Started at $19.95, Getting Serious at $29.95 and Going Pro at $49.95 a month, and says “All plans start with a 14-day free trial”.

Does well: fast sourcing decisions on 7 marketplaces, including from a phone. Falls short: SellerAmp’s own SellerAmp vs Keepa page marks “Price-drop alerts & tracking watchlists” as missing from SAS, so you need another tool once the stock is live.

8. SellerSonar: the monitoring pick

SellerSonar is the alternative for the job Jungle Scout stopped doing. It watches any ASIN on 23 Amazon marketplaces and sends alerts when a seller joins your listing, the Buy Box changes hands, content changes or keyword rank moves. It needs no Seller Central connection.

SellerSonar alert categories with Buy Box and Pricing expanded: Seller appeared, Seller removed, price changed, Buy Box Won and Lost
SellerSonar’s alert categories, November 4, 2026.

According to SellerSonar’s plans, Pro costs $19.98 a month billed yearly ($23.98 monthly) for 150 ASINs and 500 keywords checked every 4 hours. Premium is $39.98 for 300 ASINs and checks every 2 hours, and Business is $74.98 for 500 ASINs with hourly checks.

Seller appeared, Seller removed and price change alerts are on every plan; Buy Box Won and Lost alerts start on Premium. SellerSonar also tracks organic and sponsored keyword rank daily.

A Seller appeared alert in SellerSonar, October 27, 2026 (SellerSonar data).

Does well: alerts on your own catalog and on competitors, with no account connection. Falls short: SellerSonar does not do product research, listing creation, PPC management, profit tracking or repricing, so it sits next to a research tool rather than replacing one. Our SellerSonar vs Jungle Scout comparison goes feature by feature.

💡 Expert Tip: Before you cancel Jungle Scout, download each Product Tracker group as a CSV file, which Jungle Scout’s help center describes under Product Tracker options. You keep the ASIN lists you already built and can paste them into the next tool.

Is there a free Jungle Scout alternative?

Yes, for parts of the job. No free tool replaces the whole Jungle Scout suite, but several cover one task at no cost:

  • Price history: Keepa’s charts, free and usable without an account.
  • Research in the browser: SellerSprite’s free Chrome extension, and Helium 10’s free plan, which its plan guide limits to 5 lifetime Black Box uses.
  • A free dashboard: SellerApp’s Freemium plan, with no card and no end date.

If you want to test a paid tool first, sellerboard offers a 1-month trial, SellerAmp and SellerSonar offer 14 days (SellerSonar’s covers 5 ASINs and 10 keywords), and SellerSprite offers 3 days. Jungle Scout and SmartScout offer only a 7-day money-back guarantee, per their pricing and help pages.

🎯 Pro Insight: A money-back guarantee is not a trial. You pay first and have to ask for the refund, so set a calendar reminder for day 5 if you buy Jungle Scout or SmartScout to test them.

Tools we left out

ZonGuru appears on many older lists of Jungle Scout alternatives, but it is now Helix, an AI listing tool. The ZonGuru pricing page starts Helix at $149 a month, requires an SP-API Seller Central connection and supports only the US and UK marketplaces. Our SellerSonar vs ZonGuru page explains the change.

AMZScout blocked automated reads of its pricing page on November 4, 2026, so we left its prices out rather than quote them secondhand. Our AMZScout alternatives page covers it.

How to choose a Jungle Scout alternative

Start with the job, not the feature list. Match the Jungle Scout tool you actually open each week to the tool that does that one job best.

If you mostly use Jungle Scout for Switch to Why
Product Database and Keyword Scout, heavily Helium 10 Deeper keyword research, similar suite
Research on a tighter budget SellerSprite Lower entry price, research tools on every plan
Brand, seller and category research SmartScout Seller and Buy Box history data
Ads management SellerApp PPC automation without an enterprise plan
Sales and profit analytics sellerboard Profit dashboards from your own account
Sourcing and price history Keepa or SellerAmp SAS History charts and buy-or-skip checks
Product Tracker and the old Alerts SellerSonar Seller, Buy Box, content and rank alerts

Plenty of sellers end up with two tools: one for research and one for watching the listings once they are live. By our math from each pricing page, SellerSprite Standard ($79) plus SellerSonar Pro ($23.98), both billed monthly, comes to $102.98, less than Jungle Scout Brand Owner at $149 month to month.

📌 From Our Experience: The sellers who switch and regret it usually replaced research they used daily to save a few dollars. The ones who switch happily dropped tools they never opened and added the one job that was missing.

Final Expert Recommendations:
Keep Jungle Scout if its research tools are your weekly routine. Move to Helium 10 for more research depth, SellerSprite or SmartScout for different research at a different price, and sellerboard if you only need profit numbers. If what you lost with Jungle Scout’s Alerts was knowing when a hijacker, a lost Buy Box or a listing edit hits your products, SellerSonar’s listing monitoring watches any ASIN without a Seller Central connection.
